How to connect Google Form with Notion
Sync responses from your Google Form directly into a structured Notion database. Each form submission automatically creates a new row with properties mapped to questions (Name, Email, Dates, Status, Files).
The fastest way to get started is the 1-click Notion connection: no integration secrets, no copy-pasting IDs. A manual setup with an internal integration secret is still available as an alternative.
Option 1: Connect with Notion in 1 click (recommended)
- In CustomGForm, open your form and navigate to the Connect tab.
- Select Notion.
- Click Connect with Notion (1-Click).
- On the Notion authorization screen, choose your workspace and select the pages or databases CustomGForm may access, then click Allow access.
- You are redirected back to CustomGForm. Your workspace name appears with a Connected via OAuth badge.
- Pick your database in the Target Notion Database dropdown. Click the refresh icon if a newly shared database is missing.
- Form questions are automatically added as columns in your database. Click Sync Columns Now any time you add or change questions.
- Click Send test event to verify that a test page is created in your Notion database.
- Click Connect Notion (or Save Changes) to finish.
Tip: To use a different workspace, click Switch Workspace in the connected banner and authorize again.
Can't see your database? Make sure it was selected during authorization. You can grant access later in Notion via the
...menu $\rightarrow$ Connections, then press refresh in the database dropdown. You can also use Or paste custom Database ID / URL to enter it directly.
Option 2: Manual setup with an internal integration
Use this if you prefer to manage your own Notion integration.
Step 1: Create an Internal Integration in Notion
- Visit notion.so/profile/integrations.
- Click New Integration.
- Name your integration (e.g. "CustomGForm Sync") and associate it with your workspace.
- Set capabilities to Insert content and Read content.
- Copy your Internal Integration Secret (
secret_...).
Step 2: Share Your Notion Database with the Integration
- In Notion, open the target database where form submissions should appear.
- Click the
...menu in the upper right corner $\rightarrow$ Connections $\rightarrow$ Connect to. - Select your integration name ("CustomGForm Sync") to grant access.
Step 3: Configure in CustomGForm
- In CustomGForm, navigate to the Connect tab and select Notion.
- Expand Or configure with an internal integration secret manually.
- Paste your Notion Integration Secret and enter your Database ID or URL.
- Click Send test event to verify that a test page is created in your Notion database.
- Click Connect Notion to save. Form questions are synced as columns automatically.
